
Thredbo is famous for the legendary Thredbo Downhill. In summer Thredbo's long ski runs get transformed into downhill heaven. The downhill runs are accessed by the Kosciusko Chairlift every day from November 13th to May.

The 2009 UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships has just been announced as a finalist in Australia’s Best Sporting Event at this years Australian Event Awards (www.eventawards.com.au). Reigning world four cross champions Jared Graves and Caroline Buchanan will lead a formidable 38-strong Australian team at the 2010 UCI World Mountain Bike Championships in Canada this August.

Australia’s biggest ever mountain bike endurance event will take place in Canberra this Saturday, May 29, with the inaugural Capital Punishment set to test the limits of riders from all over the country.

European mountain biking Elder Statesman, former World and Olympic Champion Bart Brentjens confirmed his place at the start-line for the 2010 edition of Australia’s iconic Crocodile Trophy.

The infamous Thredbo downhill is closing soon for the winter. The last day for riding is Sunday 2nd May 2010. That leaves less than 2 weeks to go to get your last longest downhill runs in the country in for the 2009-2010 season.

This event has been a rollercoaster ride... and it hasn’t even happened yet!

The third round of the National series DH, XC and 4X was held in Thredbo at the weekend. What a weekend it was for Commencal. The rain came down steadily all weekend turning all the tracks to mud.

Current 24 hour mountain bike world champion, Jason English from Port Macquarie, says he is on track to defend his world title this year after winning the JetBlack 24 hour Sydney race over the weekend..

The 2010 Australian Interschools Mountain Bike Championships will be held on Friday 19th March to Sunday 22st March 2010 in Thredbo, NSW and will feature four events including; Downhill (DH), 4X, Cross-Country (XC) ans Short Course Cross Country (SXC) events.

Current World 24 hour solo mountain bike champion, Jason English, from Port Macquarie, tops a quality field competing in this weekend’s “JetBlack twenty four hours Sydney Race”.

COMMENCAL is pleased to announce that the Australian rider Caroline Buchanan, 2009 4X World Champion, joins the Team. Drawing her own lines between becoming one of biking’s elite, Caroline has an incredible talent and vibrant personality! She is a young and beautiful girl, with full of promises.

Chris Kovarik has started the 2010 season off with a bang, winning his first National Championship since 2002. Claire Buchar also claimed victory in the women's race so this is a great start to the season by both of them. The team now has 2 National Champions in both their respected countries. Nice one guys.
